LITTLE ROCK, AR (November 6, 2013) – The Site Selectors Guild Inc. (SSG) has announced that internationally-recognized author and commentator Joel Kotkin will be a featured speaker at the 2014 Site Selectors Guild Conference in Denver, Colorado. Kotkin specializes in global, economic, political and social trends. He’s the author of “THE NEXT HUNDRED MILLION: America in 2050.” The book explores how the nation will evolve over the next four decades. He is also the author of “THE CITY: A GLOBAL HISTORY.”

Kotkin is the Roger Hobbs Distinguished Fellow in Urban Studies at Chapman University in Orange, California and a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Civil Service College in Singapore. He is the Executive Editor of the website and also writes the weekly “New Geographer” column for In addition, Kotkin serves on the editorial board of the Orange County Register and writes a weekly column for that paper, and is a regular contributor to the Daily Beast. Kotkin has published reports on topics ranging from the future of class in global cities to the rise of growth corridors in the US economy. His recent report, “The Rise of Post-Familialism: Humanity’s Future?,” which includes an examination of the world’s future demography, was published by the Civil Service College of Singapore and Chapman University. The report has been widely commented not only in the United States, but in Israel, Brazil, Canada and other countries.
