Mr. Mace has over 13 years of consulting experience in location analysis and supply chain strategy for distribution and manufacturing facilities across diverse industries and geographies. His particular areas of expertise include site selection for industrial facilities, utility and transportation infrastructure comparisons, operating costs/conditions assessments, facility program management, real estate due diligence, and labor market analysis.
Mr. Mace’s international location strategy experience includes Mexico and Russia. He has completed location strategy and site selection consulting engagements for Amway, Andersen Windows, Aptar Group, BP, CaliSolar, Exelon, Evonik Industries, Ford Motor Land, Gap Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Kohler Company, Land O’Lakes, LimitedToo, Method Products, Michelin, Mondelez International, Novartis, Office Depot, Pharmavite, Potlatch Paper, Tenet Healthcare, ThyssenKrupp Steel and Stainless, and Wegmans.
He served as the overall project manager and subject matter expert for a comprehensive, 16-month site selection, supply chain optimization and incentive negotiations project for ThyssenKrupp’s $4.5 billion, 2,700-employee steel production facility located in Mobile, Alabama.
Mr. Mace has experience in economic development strategy consulting for state and local agencies related to business park siting and business attraction/retention strategies. He has completed economic development engagements for cities and states such as New Orleans, Louisiana; Cape Breton, Nova Scotia; Muscle Shoals, Alabama; Cincinnati, Ohio; the State of Iowa; and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Mace was a Manager with Deloitte Consulting’s Corporate Real Estate Practice in Chicago. He also has 10 years of environmental consulting and research experience.
He has published articles and has been quoted on site selection and location strategy topics in various trade publications. He serves on the Editorial Board of Area Development Magazine, and is a member of the Site Selectors Guild, a group comprised of the industry’s most highly experienced site selection consultants.
