Managing Director of Austin Consulting since 2013. Austin Consulting is a division of The Austin Company, a premier designer, engineer and constructor of commercial and industrial facilities. Austin provides architectural, engineering design-build and constriction management services. Founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1878, Austin has been a Kajima USA Group company since 2005.
Austin Consulting has been in operation for over 70 continuous years and has completed over 1,700 site location assignments. Austin’s mission is to develop and implement location strategies for manufacturing, distribution and office operations. While all projects and client needs are different, site location assignments typically include strategy development, recommendation of a favorable area where operating costs and other important factors are favorable, screening and evaluating communities and sites, conducting detailed field investigation on candidate locations, recommending locations and conducting final community and site due diligence and incentive negotiations.

Advise and recommend locations for numerous clients throughout the manufacturing, commercial and retail sectors. As the Managing Director, responsible for developing new opportunities and strategies for the future along with assisting in the development of the next generation of Austin site location consultants.
Areas of expertise within corporate relocation/site selection include; logistics/supply chain analysis, development of detailed operating cost comparisons at the regional and community level, evaluate regional and local labor conditions and recommend those areas that will best support the project, determine the best strategy to address final due diligence considerations before recommending a property purchase, assist Clients where needed on finalizing incentive negotiations that are a “win-win” situation for our Clients and the community.
Frequent contributor to publications including Baking and Snacking, Expansion Solutions, Food Engineering, Food Processing, Area Development and Trade and Industry Development. Conducted presentations and served on frequent panels on various topics relating to site location issues throughout the U.S.
Employed at The Austin Company for 30 years within the site location sector. Also employed as a retail site location consultant for 2 years with Thompson Associates in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, except for living in Ann Arbor and western Michigan for about three years. Family members resides primarily in the Cleveland, Chicago and Phoenix areas.
