Hiring: Site Selectors Guild Seeks Managing Director

The Site Selectors Guild, Inc., the only association of the world’s foremost professional site selection consultants, is seeking a full-time Managing Director with strong administrative and financial skills. As the “face” of the organization, this person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Guild and its service providers.

Founded in 2010, the Guild now comprises 57 members. As a volunteer-driven, for-profit corporation, the Guild has evolved from its beginnings as a relatively unstructured gathering of competitors to become a more cohesive, collaborative, and collegial organization.

In January 2021, the current President/Chief Executive Officer announced his decision to retire by mid-2021, which has created this opportunity to fill that role with a new Managing Director.

“The Guild has seen tremendous membership growth over the past several years and expanded and diversified even more as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Jay Garner, Chair of the Site Selectors Guild. “Our multi-year business plan, Guild Forward, will be an exciting opportunity for the new managing director. The Guild will be creating more new products and content and focusing on continuous process improvement so that we can deliver the very best products and services.”

“The new managing director will assist the Guild with being an even stronger partner with economic development organizations and identify ways to continue to highlight the important role of using site selectors in corporate location decision making, particularly as economic growth accelerates,” said Chris Lloyd, Vice Chair of the Site Selectors Guild, who is overseeing the Managing Director search.
