The Site Selectors Guild, the only association of the world’s foremost professional site selection consultants, has elected a new board of directors to be led by Michelle Comerford, project director and Industrial & Supply Chain Practice leader for Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Co., as board chair.
Comerford takes the board chair position after 14 years as an active member of the Site Selectors Guild and over 8 years serving on the board, including most recently as vice chair.
“I am honored to assume the role of board chair for the Site Selectors Guild and committed to leading our distinguished group of location advisors,” Comerford said. “Together, we will strive to advance the field of site selection, promote innovation and best practices within the industry, and continue our goals to expand awareness of professional site selection consulting services across the globe.”
In addition to Comerford as the new board chair, the Site Selectors Guild has elected the following board of directors and board advisors:
- John Rocca, managing director of JLL Consulting, remains on the board, elected to the role of vice chair.
- Phil Schneider, president at Schneider Strategy Consulting, LLC, remains on the board as treasurer.
- Larry Moretti, principal at LFM Corporate Location Solutions, remains on the board, elected to the role of secretary.
- Chris Lloyd, senior vice president and director, infrastructure and economic development at McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC, remains on the board as a member.
- Larry Gigerich, executive managing director at Ginovus, remains on the board as a member.
- Seth Martindale, Senior Managing Director at CBRE, Inc., previously the board chair, remains on the board as a member.
Board members are elected for a staggered two-year term and work in close alignment with the Guild’s managing director to innovate and execute the organization’s vision.
“This new term marks a significant step in the continued evolution and advancement of the Site Selectors Guild as we celebrate its 15th anniversary,” said Carrie Kelly, managing director of the Site Selectors Guild. “Our focus remains steadfast on supporting economic development professionals and raising awareness among corporate executives about the critical role of site selection while we continue to serve communities worldwide.”
