The Site Selectors Guild has selected Dan Pfeiffer to lead its new site readiness designation initiative, REDI Sites.
“After a rigorous selection process, we are so pleased to appoint Dan Pfeiffer as Program Director to oversee the development and launch of REDI Sites,” said Seth Martindale, board chair of the Site Selectors Guild and Senior Managing Director with CBRE, Inc. “Dan’s experience in developing site readiness programs, working with economic development organizations, and with state and local governments will be key to the success of this new initiative.”
Announced at the Guild’s 2024 Annual Conference, REDI Sites gives site selection consultants fast access to project-ready sites that have undergone a rigorous assessment process set by the Site Selectors Guild. It also provides economic development organizations and site owners with a national designation and recognition for their investment in preparedness.
As program director of REDI Sites, Pfeiffer will oversee the initiative’s development, implementation, and ongoing management. He will also lead the program’s sales and marketing efforts, manage third-party service providers, and be responsible for the initiative’s financial and organizational management.
Dan had an illustrious career as Senior Director, Corporate Economic Development for Xcel Energy, where he led economic development efforts and created Xcel’s site readiness program. Before his economic development work, Dan led government affairs efforts and Xcel’s corporate foundation. He has an MBA and BA in Marketing from North Central College.
“Dan has a broad understanding of site readiness and experience launching new initiatives. He is hard-working, smart, and talented, and the Guild is lucky to have his expertise,” said Martindale.
In addition to his corporate career, Pfeiffer enjoys the Colorado outdoors and is a former hot air balloon owner.
