REDI Sites, the first-ever national site readiness program, has announced its first round of designations. Each designated site has undergone a rigorous assessment process set by the Site Selectors Guild, the only association of the world’s foremost professional site selection consultants. It demonstrates the ability to support high-impact corporate investment and serve as an economic driver for its respective regions.
The sites earning designation in REDI Sites’ inaugural round are:
- Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre – Tract 2 (Martinsville, VA) – Platinum
- Tri-County Global Industrial Site (Orangeburg, SC) – Silver
- REDI Arkansas Manufacturing Center (Texarkana, AR) – Silver
- Centerport Business Park (Amarillo, TX) – Silver
- Shelbyville Norfolk Southern (Shelbyville, KY) – Bronze
- Rockcastle Megasite (Mount Vernon, KY) – Bronze
The REDI Sites program launched in 2024, bringing standardization to an assessment process that has historically varied across municipalities and states and giving site selection consultants fast access to project-ready sites that have undergone the same assessment through an exclusive, nationwide database.
“Project-ready sites are the linchpin of the speed-to-market that every company needs,” said Didi Caldwell, chair of REDI Sites and president and CEO of Global Location Strategies. “The six designated sites are stellar examples of strategic investment in economic development preparedness, and I am proud that REDI Sites can help advance them on their goal of attracting jobs and investment into their communities.”
REDI Sites assesses infrastructure capacity, ease of development, ownership and entitlements, and more for each submitted site and scores sites as bronze, silver, gold or platinum. The program is accepting site submissions on a rolling basis and will announce its second round of designated sites in November.
