Hoosier Energy is a generation and transmission electric cooperative providing power to 18 member distribution cooperatives in central and southern Indiana and southeastern Illinois. Hoosier Energy recently announced a new long-range resource plan focused on transitioning to a more diverse energy generation mix that includes wind, solar, natural gas and storage. The resource plan sets the foundation for cost stability and predictability while reducing its carbon footprint by an estimated 80%.
