REDI Sites Program Administrator
Site Readiness Initiative
I. INTRODUCTION
The Site Selectors Guild, Inc. (the “Guild”) is the only association of the world’s foremost professional site selection consultants. Guild members provide location strategy to corporations across the globe and for every industry, sector, and function. Founded in 2010, the Guild now comprises 67 members, many of whom are shareholders of the Guild. Our members currently hail from North America, Europe, and Asia. A volunteer-driven, for-profit corporation, the Guild has evolved from its beginnings as a relatively unstructured gathering of competitors to become a more cohesive, collaborative, and collegial organization. Since 2018, the Guild has been developing a Site Readiness initiative focused on establishing a national standard for site readiness and developing a comprehensive database of assessed sites. The Guild’s Board of Directors approved this new business initiative in December 2023 and launched REDI Sites in July 2024.
The REDI Sites Program Administrator position will be a full-time, contract position, supported by a part-time Administrative Assistant and Managing Director of the Guild. Sales staff, the Board of Directors, and Committee members who provide additional support. This role requires a startup mentality, project management skills, technology skills, as well as a general understanding of site selection and economic development.
The Program Administrator will lead the organization’s day-to-day operations. This role envisions a high-impact leader who can work collaboratively with leadership and make data-driven decisions that will elevate this new initiative’s performance and, consequently, the Guild’s position in the industry.
II. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Roles and responsibilities of the Program Administrator include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of REDI Sites;
- Managing the site assessment process, ensuring thorough documentation and accurate readiness scoring;
- Leading the development and maintenance of the online site readiness database, and organizing training to access the database;
- Learning, and then implementing and maintaining technology tools and platforms critical to program success;
- Coordinating with third-party service providers;
- Providing strategic input into program development and growth;
- Leading internal communication for the program;
- Collaboration with various stakeholders, including the REDI Sites Board of Directors, SSG Board of Directors, Managing Director, the REDI Sites Committee, Guild Members, Guild Partners, and all potential customers;
- Leading marketing efforts with REDI Sites leadership, support staff, and third-party service providers.
III. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Program Administrator will report directly to the Managing Director of the Site Selectors Guild.
IV. DESIRED ATTRIBUTES AND KNOWLEDGE
- Proven experience in project management;
- Proficiency in technology, including project management software and CRMs (GrowthZone);
- Knowledge of economic development, site selection, and related fields;
- Familiarity with site readiness programs;
- Experience in stakeholder communication;
- Highly organized and able to work independently;
- Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications; and
- Able to travel on occasion.
V. DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Project or program management experience;
- Marketing and sales experience;
- Site selection, economic development, site engineering, or other relevant experience;
- A general understanding of site readiness criteria and assessment processes;
- Managing third-party professional service providers; and
- Ability to work independently in a startup environment.
VI. PREFERRED EDUCATION
All Guild members possess college degrees, and many, like our stakeholders, have advanced degrees or education beyond four years of college. Candidates for this position are expected to reflect a commensurate level of educational attainment.
