Site Selectors Guild Elects a New Board of Directors

March 25, 2026

The Site Selectors Guild, the only association of the world’s foremost professional site selection consultants, has elected a new board of directors to lead the organization into its next term. Larry Gigerich, executive managing director of Ginovus, will serve as board chair for a second term, having previously held the role from 2023-2024.

The new board chair succeeds Michelle Comerford, who carried the Site Selectors Guild through a period of significant growth and organizational transition during her tenure as board chair, helping to strengthen the Guild’s leadership, visibility and long‑term strategic direction.

Gigerich brings extensive experience in professional site selection and long‑standing involvement with the Site Selectors Guild, having served 12 years as an active member and seven years serving on the board.

“It is an honor to return to the role of board chair at a moment of continued momentum for the Site Selectors Guild,” said Larry Gigerich, executive managing director of Ginovus. “Under Michelle Comerford’s leadership, the Guild navigated a change in managing directors, implementation of a new conference framework and launching new Guild Member committees all while sustaining a 9% growth in Guild membership. I look forward to building on that strong foundation as we continue advancing the site selection profession and serving our Members, Partners, clients and communities worldwide.”

In addition to the new board chair, the Site Selectors Guild elected the following board officers and members:

  • Chris Lloyd, senior vice president and director, infrastructure and economic development at McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC, remains on the board, elected as vice chair
  • Phil Schneider, principal at global location strategies, remains on the board as treasurer
  • Larry Moretti, principal at LFM Corporate Location Solutions, remains on the board as secretary
  • Michelle Comerford, project director and Industrial & Supply Chain Practice leader for Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Co., remains on the board as a member
  • Seth Martindale, senior managing director at CBRE, Inc., remains on the board as a member
  • John Rocca, managing director of JLL Consulting, remains on the board as a member

Board members serve staggered two-year terms and work in close alignment with the Guild’s managing director to advance the organization’s mission, strategic priorities and professional standards, including oversight of the Certified Site Selection Consultant™ (CSSC) designation.

“I’m deeply appreciative of the leadership continuity that has and will guide the Guild through a period of meaningful change, especially Michelle’s steady and thoughtful stewardship over this past term,” said Samantha Jefferson, managing director of the Site Selectors Guild. “But continuity does not mean standing still. This new board will continue to translate clarity into action: harmonizing alignment across our programming, partnerships and long-term strategy, elevating the strategic value of our engagements and expanding our thought leadership and reach.”
