The Site Selectors Guild Welcomes Four New Members, Advances Three

The Site Selectors Guild (the Guild), the professional association of the world’s leading corporate location advisors, has added four new members and advanced three current members from associate to full member status.

To become a member, site selectors must be active in the profession for at least seven years, demonstrate strong leadership experience in the industry and adhere to the Guild’s Code of Conduct.

Current Guild members that have advanced from associate to full member status include Kenneth W. Maly, senior managing director for Location Strategy at Newmark Knight Frank; Chad Sweeney, senior principal at Ginovus; and Montgomery “Monty” Turner, senior VP at Colliers International.

“Our members truly represent the best in the industry,” said Site Selectors Guild president and Chief Executive Officer Rick Weddle. “As we continue to build the expertise of the Guild and promote the entire site selection profession, we are excited about our new members’ experience, perspective and smarts from their work across the country and around the world.”

Larry Gigerich, chair of the Guild’s membership committee, added, “The Guild has a rigorous due diligence process to ensure members meet the highest standards in site selection. Our newest members have demonstrated broad experience and a strong commitment to the advancement of our industry.”

All 51 Guild members will be attending the upcoming Annual Conference, March 9-11, 2020, in Atlanta.

New members include the following individuals:

Olaf Babinet

Olaf Babinet is a Director at Deloitte Consulting in Germany with 25 years’ experience, focused on Global Location Strategy including site selection, footprint optimization, incentives negotiation and implementation. A member of the Deloitte Leadership Team, Olaf has visited over 1,000 sites in more than 70 countries.

H. Robert Boehringer, III

H. Robert Boehringer, III is Managing Director and subject matter expert for the Global Location & Expansion Services practice at KPMG. Based in Philadelphia, PA, Robert has more than 15 years of cross-functional experience, primarily focusing on location analysis, site selection and business incentive services.

Jan Desmaretz

Jan Desmaretz is Senior Manager Strategic Investment Decisions at PwC Belgium. He is a 22-year veteran in the site selection industry, specializing in feasibility assessments. Jan leads a team that consults with national and regional authorities on FDI-related projects and advises on foreign direct investment strategies for public and private sector offices and industrial estate developers.

Von Hatley

Von Hatley is based in Mobile, Alabama and is the Managing Director at Jones Walker Consulting, the site selection division of Jones Walker LLP, a law firm with offices across the US from New York to Arizona. The former State Cluster Director of Durable Goods Manufacturing for Louisiana Economic Development, Von’s experience spans more than 30 years and over 100 site selection projects in the role of corporate decision maker, Government project team lead, and strategic management consultant.
