Matthijs joined JLL in 2015, after almost six years with Investment Consulting Associates (ICA) and four years with EY, where he worked on location strategy consulting, network optimization and supply chain modeling, incentive cost benefit assessments and economic development strategies for investment promotion agencies. Matthijs has worked in 35+ countries and managed multi-disciplinary site selection and portfolio planning consulting projects up to £1.5bn in value. He is a regular speaker on international events and has hosted various workshops and training sessions on topics such as greenfield investments, outsourcing, international business and expansion strategies.

PERSONAL NOTE

Matthijs holds a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration at Rotterdam School of Management as well as a Master of Science Degree in International Economy & Economic Geography at the University ofUtrecht. He provided guest lectures for MBA-and Master students at the Sankt Gallen University, Nyenrode Business University, Rotterdam School of Management as well as the Texas A&M University.
