On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, the Site Selectors Guild hosted a webinar panel on how the COVID-19 pandemic will impact corporate location preferences in the year ahead.
Guild CEO Rick Weddle led the discussion with Guild Board Chairman Jay Garner of Garner Economics, Vice Chair Chris Lloyd of McGuireWoods Consulting, and Guild members Bob Hess of Newmark Knight Frank and Mark Williams of Strategic Development Group.

On Wednesday, June 3, the Site Selectors Guild hosted a webinar titled, “Doing Deals During COVID-19.” The discussion dug into topics including best practices for hosting virtual site tours, capitalizing on reshoring opportunities and programs and incentives that would make communities more competitive in this new environment.

On Tuesday, April 21, the Site Selectors Guild hosted a webinar titled, “Site Selection After COVID-19: Predictions From The Experts.” The discussion focused on the Guild’s recent research findings on the impact of COVID-19 including, an uptick in on-shoring especially in the pharmaceutical and life science industries, dwindling demand for office real estate as technology allows more remote work and guarded optimism that corporate location decisions will resume in late 2020 or 2021.
